Six month Photos

Six Month Photos
A friend from high school is starting out a photography business and did these amazing photos for us. She is self taught and hasn't been doing it long but you would never know. I am so impressed by these photos. If you want her contact info just let me know.

Some nice ones of Bill and I

My first attempt at a pettiskirt. It turned out pretty good I think....considering the millions of yards and lots of sewing it takes to make one. No wonder boutiques sell them for $80.

Six months!
So much has happened since my last update. Lilah is six months old already! It seems like yesterday that she entered our lives, yet it feels she's been with us forever.

The last two months were really busy and difficult for all three of us. Lilah had a difficult time getting used to being away from mommy all day and mommy had a difficult time being away from Lilah. The last seven weeks of school felt VERY long, but we survived. Maria, Lilah's babysitter, was just the most wonderful babysitter in the world. She treated Lilah as though she were her own and Lilah was so happy being with her. She also had lots of attention from Maria's five boys. Lilah has become quite the flirt now...I'm a little worried.

Side note, Bill Graduates from police academy on the 19th. The last 19 weeks have just been full of information and training for him. He is very excited to be an official deputy sheriff.

She loves sitting in her ring sling. It's also super easy for me to tote her around in.Eating peas for the first time

Say what! You want me to eat that green mush? I don't think so.

Yucky, green mush

She was playing in her exersaucer and just decided it was time to rest her head.Lilah and Great Grandpa Kenny
Lilah and cousin Benjamin. Benjamin is only nine days older than Lilah.

The girl cousins...Lilah, Marlo, and Celia
She was really tired and Bill started rubbing her back. She was so content just resting on his lap.We took Lilah swimming and she just loves it. From the start we doused her head with water in the shower and bath so she isn't bothered at all by water in her face. It's great to see her so excited about being in the water.

She loves these fountains

Playing with a fountain

Sitting up on her own for the first time. Intently looking at her blue ring. It crinkles with she squeezes it and she loves the noise.

Four Months Old

Four Months Old
Four months old and counting. It's hard to believe that she was born four months ago but here we are. She is just the most fun thing in the world. She is very social and loves being around people...sound like anyone you may know?

Things she worked on this month...
Rolling from her back to her belly
Holding on to toys
Eating her hands

I have gone back to work which has been great and terrible at the same time. The days are long and the weekends are difficult, but this too shall pass. Luckily I have an amazing and helpful husband to make things better.

I am now going to plug my online store. Please visit it at boobaloobaby.etsy.com. I have always wanted to open my own store and decided to start here. I make baby items and jewelry. PLEASE visit!!!

The dr suggested that we start rice cereal to get her used to eating. This was the result. We decided it's not worth the mess since it all ended up outside of her mouth instead of in it. She thought it was a wonderful game though.

This is the kitchen door the day of the March blizzard.

A daddy and his girl. Notice the dirt on Bill's upper lip, he decided to grow a "copstache" since it's the only facial hair they allow. It didn't last longer than a day. I must have complained too much.

Eating her rattle

Every night before bed we read a book. This one is her favorite. Or at least it's our favorite.

Bath time froggy

Gouda ripped off her duclaw and it was a huge ordeal. The vet wrapped it up but that didn't stop Gouda from getting to it. She ended up with a cone for a week. It was truly very funny. She already thinks she's a small dog and it just made the problem worse.
Nana bought Lilah these great rattle socks for Christmas. She was trying so hard to get to them.

Doing push ups and working on those guns....have you bought a ticket to the gun show?

She wiggled her arm out of the swaddler and when I went to check on her this is what I found. I thought it was just too cute.

Sweet and sleeping.

This is her "I just woke up" face...too funny

Oh how time flies

Lilah is TWELVE WEEKS OLD!!! Oh how the time flies. Major things that have happened lately...
She can now stay up on her hand and elbows for lengthy periods of time
She can roll over (front to back both directions)
She is becoming more aware of her hands and is grabbing at things and actually holding on.

Most of all she is just so much fun. She is laughing out loud which is one of the best sounds we have ever heard. I know one of my favorite times of day is in the morning when I get her out of bed and she is so smiley and loves seeing me. I'm sure the best part of Bill's day is coming home because she just lights up when she sees him.

The worst part about her being 12 weeks old is that I know soon and very soon I'll be going back to work. I'm very excited to see the kids and get back to school, but of course I don't want to leave Lilah. Thankfully God has blessed us with two wonderful people to watch her. Phyllis Giddings, the mother of a great friend whom I've known for years, will be watching her three days a week. The other two days she will be with a mother a student who I had for two years. Both woman have big hearts for kids and both are wonderful Christian ladies, which makes me super happy.

I finally added some videos. The are at the bottom.

Lilah doing some tummy time

Gouda and Biscuit snuggling at bed time

Lilah loves tummy time and was laughing at Chicken. You'll have to excuse the naked baby bum. She had a terrible diaper rash so we were airing it out as much as possible.

Stare down

I put up these black and white patterns by her changing table. She loves to look and laugh at them.

Looking at the patterns

She holds her hands a lot. I think it's super cute

She has her Baby Legs on. They are like leg warmers for babies and you can use them for all sorts of things like sleeves and stuff. I was sick of taking her pants on a off one day so she just had her baby legs on which makes changing diapers so much easier.

Auntie Em got her an oh so cute onsie from Wicked, which happens to be mommy's favorite musical.

In her Bumbo. She likes to sit up and is doing a pretty good job so far. Of course she can't do it unassisted but the Bumbo sure does help her get the feel of sitting up.

Beautiful

She wanted so disparately to grab the toy but just could not get her hand to it. So she just stared at it.

The first video is of her rolling over. Again you'll have to pardon the nakedness, she still had the diaper rash when I filmed it. The second video is of her playing with the cow toy.
